海盜隊王牌投手柯爾，14日在主場對費城人隊的比賽，先發6局僅失2分，帶領海盜終場是以4:3險勝，柯爾也成為大聯盟本季第一位10勝的投手，同時自責分率降到1.71，也是全聯盟最低。
四連勝的Gerrit Cole，近況超好，已經成為海盜的王牌投手，戰績和King Felix並列大聯盟勝投王，而這場在家裡迎戰費城人的比賽，Cole要更上一層樓。

自從5月22日，就不知輸球滋味兒的Cole，能有效壓制費城人的打擊，主投6局，飆出了7次三振，沒有四壞保送，被敲5支安打，失掉2分，但只有1分是責任失分，自責分率再降到1.71，全聯盟最低，而Cole的隊友，打擊也力挺。

雖然攔得精彩，又躺在地上傳球，可惜Chase Utley還是慢了一步，AllSafe，海盜王Andrew McCutchen的一壘安打，帶有1分打點，海盜已經是4:1的領先，費城人在八局追回2分，但終場還是3:4一分飲恨，Cole也成為2015年大聯盟第一位10勝的投手，鏡頭轉到美聯，虎王Justin Verlander終於復出了。
